About:
Elizabeth (Eli) is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) practicing in the state of Missouri. She provides a person centered approach and incorporates various modalities such as: acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Eli believes that every client is unique and that their counseling experience should be individualized and custom tailored to meet each need.
Education:
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Missouri State University in 2019. After completing her undergraduate degree, she earned her Master of Science degree in clinical psychology. Further, she has a graduate certificate in Statistics and Research from Missouri State University which she earned in 2021. Elizabeth is a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC) and is provisionally licensed under the supervision of Dr. Cindy Baker, LPC, NCC.
Current Specialties/Interests:
As part of her master’s degree training, Elizabeth completed two internship programs. She completed an internship at Mercy Hospital in the Neuropsychology Clinic working with testing and assessments. In addition, she completed an internship at Preferred Family Healthcare working with residential female clients with substance use disorder. Elizabeth has experience with substance use and addictions through her past employment where she led group therapy, educational groups, and met with clients for individual counseling sessions. She also has experience working with treatment courts and Children’s Division.
Elizabeth’s greatest passion is to help guide people through any situation or stage of life by creating a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth. She works with adolescents, adults, and couples who are experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use, addiction and women’s issues. “I value collaboration, empathy, and respect when working with others, and believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential.
