About:
Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) practicing in the state of Missouri. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of challenges, including post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, grief/loss, and stress management. Sarah utilizes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach and incorporates techniques from a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches. She is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS). She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is an evidence-based approach that helps clients reprocess distressing memories using eye movements and guided imagery. It’s a fast, safe, and effective treatment for trauma, anxiety, grief, and more—often producing results in just one session. ART is suitable for both adults and children.
Education:
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Sport, and Park Administration, and a minor in Equine Studies, from Missouri State University in 2012. She returned to Missouri State to obtain her Master of Science degree in Counseling and graduated in 2022.
Current Specialties/Interests:
Sarah is a dedicated and compassionate counselor who specializes in supporting individuals through trauma, grief, and loss. She works with those navigating the impact of personal trauma, including survivors of sexual abuse and assault, as well as individuals in high-stress professions where exposure to trauma is common—such as military personnel, police officers, firefighters, first responders, and healthcare providers.
With a strong passion for girls’ and women’s empowerment, Sarah is especially committed to working with survivors of domestic violence and helping them reclaim their sense of safety, agency, and self-worth.
Sarah believes that healing begins with being truly seen and heard. “My goal is to meet clients where they are in their journey. Whether you’re coping with loss, processing trauma, or rebuilding after abuse, I provide compassionate, personalized support to help you move forward at your own pace.”
